The Beauty of the Land

The Beauty of a country lyes in the knowledge of beauty.

Beauty has historically been in all things natural.

Nature is beauty to us all, it produces images and scenes that are breath taking and unreproducable.

To the land of natural beauty there is nothing I wish more than to awake at your door.
There is a time and a place for each of us to face. We must reach a peach of time to believe in our inner minds. The tranquil belief of reaching unimaginable relief. Tis grief we feel with the destruction of trees. Our lands are being raped for the production and destruction of state.

For all through time man has destroyed without mind. Construction for wealth has completly destroyed our health. We build for no sense to impress our friends.

Why have we forgotten that the land must not rotten for it is the foot that we must all stand upon. The ground so sacred it should always be fed but never by BLOOD SHED.

The beauty of the land should lye in the natural preservation of time.

Work UpDates.

Well Folks, It's been awhile since my last Blog.

I've been really busy with the ISP and keeping up with technology. We have since implemented the FireWalls on the ISP network. Open Source (Linux) seems to be the way forward for all of our new projects. This actually makes sense since Linux is the foundation for all of our platforms. Somewhere in the middle there we started going with Hardware appliances which were not standard Linux but Windows veriations.

Our VOIP solution implementation seems to be coming along quite fine. We have made several different tests calls and all seem to be correctly setup and working properly.

We have also implemented some unique bandwidth monitoring and reporting tools. Tomorow I am going to connect the final leg of our second STM-1. I will have to do bandwidth testing on it in a stand-alone environment. This should be great as there is nothing like being the only person sitting on a 155MB connection to the internet and trying to pull down files for testing.

We seem to be have problems with some internal GBIC links on MultiMode fiber. It seems to be hit and miss with this stuff as they worked first, now they are no working at all. We've had the contractors in twice already and changed everything out already but nothing seems to fix these issues.

Last week was budget time and everyone seems to have put in some really good stuff. If all the budgets are approved we should have a pretty productive year.

Well till next time.

Work

Well folks, this week was very challenging as I had alot of new projects and outages to deal with.

Firstly, I installed two VOIP firewalls and two external ISP firewalls. The external firewalls however appear to have been sent without any of the four interface cards that are required for them to run. This is a major screwup by someone NOT me as i only install the stuff..LOL..

The two VIOP firewalls also have they're share of problems, we cannot get them to boot. I think the power supplies are dead. But hey who needs power supplies?

This week I had the privalage to visit some of the Islands top Data Centers. I was very impressed however I still think that mine is the top in the country. If only I can get everyone who works with me to understand the standards an apply them. Keeping a Data Center in tip top shape is an art an should be tops in your mind at all times. Neetness and order. NO i'm not anal. I was just taught that way. Thanks Boss Artero.

Until next time.

Sentebale

Hello,

This is my first attempt @ Blogging. Hope-fully I'm able to get the configurations right.

Sentebale (Forget Me Not)

Today I got my Apache server installed and added the first web site to it. I obviously need to do some work on the website itself but the concept and configuration of the server worked. This was my second goal for this year 2006. The first goal was to create an Email Server, which I completed last month. Oh BTW the third GOAL was to start blogging.

I guess I've hit the TRI-fecta.

Now some people are wondering what the big deal is with doing these three things. Well the first two were done using Linux alone. I work with Linux on a daily basis but have never tried to build anything in it. I usually just run scripts and get responces. Therefore I'd obviously never experience the true power of the OS until now.

Regards
